Xbox Series S Confirmed Thanks To The Leak Of The Box Of The New Controller That Mentions It

People are very nervous about the whole topic of the new generation of consoles that will arrive later this year. Microsoft’s bet for the next few years in the world of video games is to launch the Xbox Series X that was presented in December of last year with a trailer that caught us all by surprise.

But after the announcement, the following months have been a nest of rumours that the company will launch two different consoles at the beginning of this new generation, the one that was named as Xbox Lockhart and that later has been called the Xbox Series S.

The controller box would reveal the existence of Xbox Series S.

A couple of months ago we saw a new information leak about this Xbox Series X variant since it seems that it would also have a different development kit in stock than its more powerful sister.

It seems that we will still have to wait a bit for Microsoft to confirm or not the Xbox Series S, but everything seems to indicate that it is a reality, since nothing has been done before, some photos of the new control for Xbox consoles have been leaked that has been echoed in different portals and that in the device information we can see that it is compatible with both Xbox One and Windows 10 and mobile phones, but the part that draws attention comes when we know that it is also compatible with Xbox Series X and the S version that is not yet We have seen.

If this is true, Microsoft should present this new console model soon, since we are in August and we still do not know the price or the launch games, making an exception with Halo Infinite, so this would have to be the key moment to show the last details finally.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order optimized today for Xbox Series X and S

With The Mandalorian still kicking its tail among Star Wars fans with the enormous success of its second season, one of the titles that we wanted to take up is precisely Jedi Fallen Order, the single-player adventure that the masters of Respawn brought us to the end. of 2019. Thanks to the addition of EA Play on November 11 to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, we can play on our Xbox without any excuse, but today we have a greater incentive.

And it is that without warning, Electronic Arts has just announced the details of the update now available, which optimizes Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS5. An exceptional way to revive or decide to play this huge title in the next-gen. These are the details of the patch:

Xbox Series X :

  • Performance mode : Frame rate increased to 60 FPS and dynamic resolution added from 1080p to 1440p
  • Normal mode : Post-processing has been increased to 4K and dynamic resolution in the range of 1512p to 2160p

Xbox Series S :

  • Frame rate increased to 60 FPS (was 45 FPS) and dynamic resolution range (unspecified).

Jedi Fallen Order is the next target for your Xbox Series

As you can see, Xbox Series S, having no distinction between modes, does not enjoy that post-processing improvement, but in the patch notes we can see that PS5 does not improve in the same way as Xbox Series X, having only one mode that combines all at 1200p, 60fps and 1440p post-processing. With this attitude, have no doubt that we will soon see the corresponding technical comparison between versions.

One way or another, it’s a great time to decide to try this gem of action that many consider one of the best games of 2019 and possibly of the generation. With a sequel already planned by Respawn again, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order is well worth keeping an eye on.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War does look different on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War arrived on consoles on November 13, becoming one of the titles that welcome the new generation of consoles.

As you already know, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have different graphics power, and it is completely normal for gamers to wonder which one works better.

A video recently appeared that answers this question, since it puts both versions of Call of Duty side by side so that you can analyze where it looks with more quality.

YouTube channel NB MOTIONS decided to side-by-side gameplay of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, running on PlayStation Series 5 Xbox X.

In almost six minutes we can see the definitive comparison in the graphical performance of both consoles, using the Treyarch title, and to notice the differences you will need a well-trained eye.

We do not tell you more and we leave you the video below.

As you can see, the graphic performance is extremely similar on both consoles; However, lighting Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War looks somewhat clearer on Xbox X Series.

For its part, the PlayStation 5 version stands out in the details of the environment and the definition in some particles, for example, the fire scene.

The differences are minimal and do not allow defining a winner in terms of performance, so you will have to experience it for yourself.

This is how the Master Chief Collection performs in all its Xbox versions

After several months that many of us have seemed endless, the time has finally come to enjoy the new generation of consoles, as Microsoft last week launched the new Xbox Series X and Series S, which have been a success in sales both in reserves and in the batch that we have had these days.

Although many of us would have liked to be able to play Halo Infinite with the launch of these new consoles, we have a good number of games optimized and prepared to take advantage of the new hardware, something to which the Master Chief Collection has been added does nothing.

Master Chief Collection performs great on both Xbox One and Xbox Series

Without a doubt, the new generation is giving incredible moments just beginning, since although the collection has not been patched to take advantage of the hardware, we already saw a few days ago that these consoles work their magic as well, especially with loading times.

But now we have the Master Chief Collection fully ready to work on Xbox Series, something that can be clearly seen in the new video of the ElAnalistaDeBits channel, in which we can see how loading times, resolution, drawing distance, and frames per second improve notably, although this collection also demonstrates great performance on Xbox One, save for Halo 2 Anniversary which has fps issues.

It is also important to mention that this works at 120 fps on Xbox Series X / S, although they are being measured with the limit of 60. What is clear is that the new generation is going at full speed and without drops.

The Master Chief Collection is at its best on both Xbox and PC and we expect the folks at 343 Industries to reveal details on Halo Infinite in a few weeks, which we are really looking forward to.
