Bioware Details How It Will Improve Anthem's Loot System

Anthem, the latest Bioware title, was released more than a year ago. A game that had a somewhat mixed reaction, with some good ideas but that came lacking in content and with some significant problem.

Since then, Bioware has focused on improving it, and its goal is to relive the title experience with a relaunch. An Anthem 2.0 experience, something similar to what happened with games like No Mans Sky.

That is why the development team of Bioware Austin, a subsidiary in charge of this task, is focused on all the redesign of the game. From the inclusion of new factions, such as a gang of pirates that we have already seen, to a new and improved loot system. Something essential, since the original is what brought more criticism to the game.

Bioware details Anthem’s new loot system.

Christian Dailey, director of the studio, recently spoke about the latter. In a recent statement, Christian has outlined the development team’s goals to improve a poor loot system. These improvements include a higher frequency of items dropped by enemies. One of the biggest criticisms Anthem received in his day.

On the other hand, they also claim that there are improvements in all the articles and that each one has a ” strategic value ” for each variety. We can also get different objects that we can buy through unique loot tables and special missions AND another of the main novelties that players can see their team list anywhere, being now more detailed than ever.

Lastly, Christian has commented that each item will implement a ” budget ” for entries based on its power and rarity, so a better loot will not be the one that reaches the highest limit, but rather the one that has specific exclusive bonuses that complement your skills and ways of playing.

Gamers Be Patient First! Sony Ensures PlayStation 6 Release in 2028

Even though the PlayStation 5 was just released a little over a year ago, Sony of course already has plans to make a successor to the console.

This was also confirmed by Sony through the documents they provided regarding the rejection of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

In the document, Sony says that the remaining time for PlayStation’s collaboration with Call of Duty will end in 2027, which Sony says is close enough to the release of its new generation of consoles.

Although it has not been confirmed if the console in question is the PlayStation 6, Sony said that the new generation of consoles will launch in approximately 2028.

“In the near future (2027), SIE will launch the next generation of PlayStation consoles, and will likely lose access to Call of Duty and other Activision games,” wrote Sony.

The Witcher III Wild Hunt, the next-gen patch arrives in a month!

The Witcher III Wild Hunt

Finally, here we are: CD Project Red has announced the date for the next-gen update of its blockbuster The Witcher III Wild Hunt. The appointment is for December 14th, in exactly one month: in addition to the most recent consoles from both Microsoft ( Xbox Series X | S) and Sony (PS5, of course ) the PC world will also be involved.

The patch was announced a long time ago, but it is delayed: initially, the developer planned to launch it by the second quarter of 2022, but then there were significant reorganizations that significantly slowed its production.

Initially, the works were managed by Saber Interactive, an external studio that has dealt with other secondary projects in the world of The Witcher – for example, the porting for Nintendo Switch always of the same game, then CDPR decided to pass the project to the internal studio, to unspecified reasons.

The patch promises a significant step forward for the graphics of the final chapter of the Geralt of Rivia saga – not that it’s disappointing as it is, but let’s say the industry has progressed quite a bit since 2015.

CDPR promises dozens of visual, performance and technical optimizations: among the most significant are support for real-time ray tracing, reduced loading times on consoles, many integrated mods, and much more.

There will also be some entirely new content, inspired by Netflix’s live-action series (which just recently lost its protagonist, Henry Cavill; he will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth ).

Just last month CDPR announced several projects set in the franchise: a whole new trilogy, no longer with Geralt as the protagonist, at least a couple of spin-offs, and a complete and complete remake of the first The Witcher, which is also the first game made. entirely from CDPR. The latter will be based on Unreal Engine 5.
