Future Games Show 2020

Maybe in 2020, the crazy hustle that usually surrounds E3 is not lived, but mouse and keyboard players have not been left without their ration of novelties: the Future Games Show has given the override to a PC Gaming Show especially loaded putting ahead dozens of announcements and news.

With Emily Rose and Nolan North serving as masters of ceremony, the Future Games Show 2020 has not only set its sights on desktop systems, but has remembered current and future consoles. It is the beauty of living this generational relay.

Without further delay, we offer you all the videos, announcements and games shown throughout the event

Quantum Error

Developed on Unreal Engine, Quantum Error seeks to be that first-person horror experience fans of the System Shock series always welcome with open arms. This summer we will know more about the project.

Its arrival is planned on PC and next-generation consoles.

Ghostrunner

It is impossible not to be amazed by each new advance of Ghostrunner: brutal first-person action on behalf of One More Level and 3D Realms under the spell of the holograms and lights of Neon. We can play it this year on PC, as well as PS4 and Xbox One.

Call of the sea

Developed by Out of the Blue for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows, Call of the Sea offers us an adventure set during the 1930s that combines puzzles and narrative, inviting us to discover the secrets of a mysterious paradise island in the South Pacific .

Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One

An investigative thriller inspired by the legendary Arthur Conan Doyle character, Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One presents us with the first adventures and cases of the ultimate detective through an ambitious open world in which crimes are ensured. Its launch is planned for PC and consoles.

Cygni: All Guns Blazing

Cygni: All Guns Blazing retains and updates the formula of classic shoot ’em ups and complements it with a spectacular appearance according to what we can expect from current games. It may not be one of those challenging bullet hell, but the truth is that it looks great.

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes

Morbid: The Seven Acolytes fuses three ideas in the same experience: Diablo’s action and level design , the playable experience of the Soulsborne and a pixelated appearance that, despite its dark fantasy setting, does not go unnoticed. A combination as curious as interesting.

Hot Shots Racing

The proposal for Hot Shots Racing is as straightforward as proposed to the player: frenetic races, lots of colors on the screen, and a modest amount of polygons for a fully arcade driving game that puts everything else fun.

Crystals

Cris Tales is much more than an RPG with a beautiful artistic section: each character, NPC, enemy, and kingdom has been given a past, but it will be our actions that determine their futures. By the way, you can already download the demo on Steam.

Liberated

After his time on Switch, Liberated comes to PC to continue blurring the line that separates comics and video games through an action experience that takes place between bullets.

Neon Abyss

Pixelated shooters we have seen a lot, but what Veewo Games offers us is crazy: Neon Abyss is a festival of bullets of a thousand shapes and colors that will test our ability with both thumbs (in case we play with control, of course) . It will come to PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC and you can already put it to the test on Steam.

Skater XL – The Ultimate Skateboarding Game

2020 is the year that roller skating returns to video games, and with Tony Hawk looming and Skate 4 is the absent mode, Skater XL will offer the alternative by giving a twist to the formula coined by Neversoft through physics and an unprecedented control system. The date: July 2020 on PC and consoles.

GTTOD: Get to the Orange Door

Andrew Smith presents a shooter as minimalist as it is frantic in which the intense neon lights will serve as a guide and reference when dealing with chaos and destruction. GTTOD: Get to the Orange Door l will be released this year to Xbox One and PC and its demo can now be downloaded on Steam.

Waking

Jason Oda presents an action title that, at the same time, seeks to be an emotional adventure: our weapons to survive in a dream world will be our own memories and the people we love. Waking will arrive on June 18 on Xbox One and PC.

Space Crew

Are you passionate about Star Trek? Curve Digital has the perfect game for you: Space Crew will allow us to manage a space station and live picturesque intergalactic experiences typical of the cult series. Of course, with a casual touch that makes everything more enjoyable. It will arrive later this year on all platforms.

Maid of Sker

Based on the true story of Elizabeth Williams, Maid of Sker is a first-person psychological terror and stealth game in which we must explore the gruesome Casa Sker.

A cursed building, intimidating on the outside and even more on the inside as it is populated by creatures that will not be able to see us but will give us goosebumps. Of course, we had better not make noise: the sound of our breathing can cost us the game. It will hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2020.

Remnant: From the Ashes

Subjet 2923, the latest DLC from Remnant: From the Ashes, arrives loaded with new features: a new campaign seasoned with more weapons, more bosses, more quests, and more challenges. Its arrival is scheduled for August on PC and consoles.

The Captain is Dead

Captain is Dead makes his intentions very clear with his first preview: taking inspiration from science fiction series, Thunderbox Entertainment presents board game in the form of a video game. Of course, its visual section is a sonorous song of the 90s.

Main assembly

There are many ways to drive and Main Assembly wants you to have them all through a crazy and ambitious sandbox in which we can build robots and put them to create and pilot any kind of vehicle. Now available in Early Access on Steam for $20.

Blankos: Block Party

Blankos: Block Party is an MMO starring figure that comes to life in an environment that lends itself to being transformed. A platform? A shooter? The type of game is decided by the player on the go.

Last Oasis

In the Last Oasis, the Earth has stopped spinning, and the ability to move is the key to staying alive. The nomadic survival MMO reappears on the occasion of the Future Games Show 2020 through a new trailer in which in addition to the twisted machines of the game we will see totally new environments.

Wasteland 3

The release of Wasteland 3 is just around the corner, and inXile Entertainment further heats up the mood with a new teaser. The appointment: next August 28 will be played on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Werewolf The Apocalypse

The next thing for Halo Creative Director: Reach bets on both the single-player campaign and team multiplayer. The key: without giving up gunplay, Disintegration seeks to integrate elements of strategy in real-time into the experience. It is played from June 16 on PC, Xbox, and PS4 and you can already read our analysis.

Paradise lost

In Paradise Lost, the Second World War did not end in 1945. Cornered by the Soviet Union, the Nazi unloaded his entire arsenal in the spring of 1960 until turning much of Europe into an uninhabitable wasteland due to nuclear risk.

However, the nightmare seems to have not ended: 20 years have passed since the tragedy and our protagonist has discovered a huge bunker that hides a revealing secret about the Third Reich. Paradise Lost is coming to next-generation PCs and systems.

Operation Tango

Infiltrator or prodigious hacker? In Operation Tango the weaknesses of both will be necessary to fulfill the objective and, as far as possible, get out of a piece. A cooperative spy game to be played from 2021.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

After leaving us impressed during the presentation of PS5, Ember lab offers us a new look at its very promising Kena: Bridge of Spirits. Adventure, intense fighting and elaborate environments with a special care. It is expected to hit PS5, PS4, and PC via the Epic Games Store in 2020.

A Plague Tale Requiem, announced the launch date with a gameplay trailer

A Plague Tale: Requiem saw it recently on the occasion of the Summer Game Fest, and precisely of the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. On that occasion, however, no launch date was announced.

We, therefore, expected to have to wait a bit before the game returned to show itself, but today a new and full-bodied trailer of the game published by Focus Home Interactive and developed by Asobo Studio was released. And together with the gameplay video, the release date also arrives on October 18, 2022.

Pre-orders for A Plague Tale: Requiem is already open for all versions: the game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X | S (where it will be available from day one on Game Pass ), and PC. Different speech for the version dedicated to Nintendo Switch, which will arrive in an as yet unknown future.

The trailer shows us some exciting sequences as the two protagonists, Amicia and little Hugo, must cross hostile territory in an attempt to escape from the soldiers who try to capture them.

In the twelve minutes of gameplay, it clearly emerges that the interaction between the two characters and their skills will be a key element of the game both from a narrative point of view and regards the game design solutions adopted by the development team in the construction of the levels.

The player will be called to interpret the situation in which he finds himself by choosing different approaches and favoring – at least in this initial phase – a stealth strategy, even if in some cases the clash with the enemies will prove inevitable.

As far as the technical level of the game is concerned, given that it is a next-gen title, the work done by Asobo Studios (which is not surprisingly the team of wonders behind the impressive Microsoft Flight Simulator ) already seems excellent.

Finally, the Collector’s Edition was also presented for those who are not satisfied with the simple physical or digital version.

From Software is about to announce a new game development is almost done

Hidetake Miyazaki, president of From Software, was recently the protagonist of an interview with the Japanese portal 4Gamer, in which he dropped what is a real bomb for fans of the software house: From Software’s next game has already entered the final stage of development, so it shouldn’t be long before the official announcement.

Approximately 4 months after the launch of Elden Ring, From Software is therefore in the process of releasing a new title, however, fans of souls like should begin to contain the enthusiasm, since there is ample chance that the next project will go in one direction. completely different, digging into nothing less than the company’s past.

According to rumors, in fact, From the new game could be none other than Armored Core 6, the sixth chapter of the famous series focused on mecha combat, born in 1997 on the first PlayStation. The saga has been missing for some time now, considering that the fifth chapter has been released on PS3 and Xbox 360, so it would be a highly anticipated return by fans.

The indications regarding Armored Core emerged already at the beginning of the year from a survey shared by From Software, in which they spoke about the possible return of the series.

That the company was working on another game had actually been known for some time, more precisely from an interview in 2018. On that occasion, Miyazaki had announced that the studio had been working on three and a half titles since 2016, which with the time turned out to be Déraciné ( the half-title, a VR experience for PS4), Sekiro, and Elden Ring.

The remaining game is none other than the project now in the final phase – born 6 years ago – which we will probably discover very soon.
